Russ Heydenreich began finishing out fine home interiors
in the Dallas area in 1972. His customers were pleased with the quality of his
work.As a result, Russ Heydenreich Trim grew into a successful business.Impressed by the hard work of his trim crews
and Russ’s careful oversight, customers began to ask if he could build cabinets
that would match the quality of his finish out work.In 1996 Russ opened a small cabinet shop and
produced high quality custom kitchens, baths, and other millwork to fill the
needs of his clientele.Again, his
efforts were fruitful.Customers began
to request custom doors and windows to go along with their fine cabinetry.So, in 2000 Russ expanded the cabinet shop to
include a sash and door division.Metroplex Wood Specialty is now a full service millwork company that
produces entire millwork packages for fine homes throughout North Texas. With
18,500 sq. ft. of manufacturing, office and storage space, we are able to
fabricate the case goods, doors and windows that will add a unique touch to

Each work station in our cabinet shop is manned by a skilled tradesman who takes pride in his work. Our cabinetmakers take their assigned projects from layout to completion, cutting and carefully fitting each component.

Our door shop is equipped with precision woodworking equipment and staffed by experienced craftsmen to assure a high level of accuracy and quality.
